Relaxing With Jake
Hellooooo!
Well, I see I hit an all time high in visitors today. It’s nice to know that if I want more visitors, I just have to do a few stupid moves. HA! A 40% percent increase in visitors today – an all season high! Everything is good here today…..
The veterinarian called me today from down the street where I took Jake yesterday. She wanted to know how Jake was doing and I told her that he’s doing great and it was like he’s got a new set of batteries inside of him, he’s running around everywhere, and I’ve never seen that tail wag so much in one day!
He’s doing excellent.
Now, Jake has always been on dry food most of his life, so today we had to sit down with him and introduce him to canned food. I bought some Prescription Diet food for him – dry food which he loves, and canned food which was foreign to him until today. So we sat down with him and put some canned food in a plate – looks like paste of a tan color – ugh. So, with patience, and a tiny, tiny cheese bait on the food, he tasted it and reluctantly ate most of it and I gave him his medicine (2 times a day) and one Prescription Diet Treat that he can have twice a day. Now, you don’t have to say it, I can read your mind from here……High Maintenance! You betcha’, but he’s so worth it!
As for me….I relaxed most of the day on the couch. Got an ice pack on the knee and bruises are showing in more and more places, but overall I’m fine. I’m sooooo fine that I found the energy to take a trip to the Cocopah Casino this evening. Hey, whatever makes me feel better, right?
Anyways, I lost money there, but it was nice to get out of the RV for awhile.
But, basically that’s it. Lounge around all day and casino tonight. Tonight I’ll take some more pain medication for the pain in my knee and the “pain” in my wallet. I lost about $80 bucks tonight – ugh!
Not sure what we are doing tomorrow, but I don’t think we are going too far. Probably just going to spend a lot more time with Jake getting him more comfortable with his canned food.
Hope everyone is enjoying their week. I’ll be back tomorrow
Nite Nite.
